At Carmichaels Couture, we handle rare, archival, and deadstock designer inventory with the utmost care. Our shipping frameworks are engineered for high-velocity dispatch, absolute security, and full transit tracking to ensure your luxury assets arrive in pristine condition.
1. PROCESSING & DISPATCH TIMEFRAMES
Handling Time: All orders undergo a strict multi-point inspection and security packaging phase prior to dispatch. Orders are typically processed and handed over to our verified local courier hubs within 1 to 3 business days of payment authorization.
Operational Schedule: Order processing and courier drop-offs occur Monday through Friday. Orders placed over weekends or public holidays will be processed on the following business day.
2. COURIER NETWORKS & DELIVERY TIMES
To guarantee secure arrival, we exclusively utilize premium, signature-required, and fully trackable courier services. Estimated transit times commence from the moment the courier scans the package at the dispatch hub:
United Kingdom (Domestic): Shipped via premium overnight services (e.g., Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed or DPD). Delivery is typically achieved within 1 business day from dispatch.
International (Rest of World): Shipped via express global transits (e.g., DHL Express or FedEx). Delivery typically ranges from 3 to 7 business days depending on your global region and local customs clearances.
3. TRACKING & INSURANCE
Once your order has been dropped off at the courier hub, an automated notification will be sent to your registered email address containing your active tracking number and carrier details.
Every parcel dispatched by Carmichaels Couture is fully insured during transit and requires an adult signature upon delivery.
We cannot ship to PO Boxes, military bases, or temporary freight-forwarding addresses due to high-value insurance constraints.
4. INTERNATIONAL DUTIES, TAXES & CUSTOMS
For our international collector client base, please note that our base currency and operations are located in the United Kingdom.
Import Tariffs: International shipments may be subject to local import duties, VAT, or customs clearance taxes dictated by your destination country.
Responsibility: All localized customs fees, brokerage charges, and import tariffs are the sole responsibility of the buyer and must be settled at the time of entry. Carmichaels Couture has no control over customs processing delays or localized border retention windows.
5. UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES & DELAYED COURIER RETURNS
If a delivery fails because the courier cannot obtain a signature, or if an international package is rejected at customs by the buyer, the parcel will automatically begin an internal courier route back to our origin point.
To maintain strict operational security and protect our private facility layouts, unauthorized return parcels are held securely by the courier service until our concierge team provides official clearance instructions.
Any original shipping fees, return freight penalties, or secondary customs charges incurred due to a rejected or uncollected parcel will be strictly deducted from any final store credit or refund.
